COTTON LINT
Cottfield Group operates a state-of-the-art 2-158 Lummus gin at Bulangira Ginnery in Kibuku, Eastern Uganda. Our yearly production capacity is 40,000 225kg (Standard Density) bales. The ginnery is equipped with a complete line of seedcotton/lint cleaning machinery, automated gin controls and a Humidaire moisture restoration unit. All cotton is saw-ginned Strict Middling / Middling, Staple Length 1-1/8. HVI measured physical lint properties are as follows:
- Micronnaire: 3.8-4.2; average 4.0
- Uniformity: 81-84; average 82
- Short Fiber: 4.5-7.0; average 5.7
- G-tex: 29 – 32; average 31
- Length: 27.5-29.5; average 28.7
